The Red Thread
Machine pieced improv quilt with hand and machine quilting. The thin line that runs through the quilt brought to mind the Chinese proverb, that there is an invisible red thread connecting those destined to meet. This led me to quilt it in red thread and embroider french knots along the thin line to represent the idea of the red thread tying us together. Hanging sleeve is hand-sewn to the back.
